HAAS® Alarm 102 — SERVOS OFF

What it means
The drives have been disabled while the machine was trying to move. Often the first thing you see after another fault — the control has dropped the drives as a safety response.
Common causes
- Following on from another alarm (look at the alarm history)
- Loose servo amplifier wiring or a bad connection
- An axis amplifier or drive fault
- Low-voltage power supply problem on the control
What to check first
- Read the full alarm history — usually there's a more specific fault just above this one
- Power-cycle the machine and try to home the axes
- If it returns immediately, this is a service call — don't keep resetting
Prevention
Regular preventative maintenance — clean cabinet, working lube, sensible cutting parameters, and a habit of checking offsets before running — prevents most alarms before they happen.
