Service terms, in plain English.
What we commit to, what you pay, and what happens in every outcome. These terms apply to every Exchange & Repair job and are confirmed in writing with your quote before we set off.
1. What the service is
When a component covered by our loaner stock fails on your HAAS® machine, we supply a tested, refurbished replacement (the “loaner”), fit it, prove the machine, and take your original unit away for bench repair. You keep the loaner in your machine and in production while we work on yours.
2. The 24-hour commitment
Where we hold the specific part in loaner stock and your site is within reasonable reach of our engineer network, we will have an engineer on site with the part within 24 hours of your call being confirmed. We tell you on the first call whether the 24-hour commitment applies to your job. If it doesn’t, we tell you the realistic time instead — we don’t promise what we can’t deliver.
3. What you pay
- Fixed swap-in fee. One fixed price to attend, fit the loaner and prove the machine, quoted to you before we set off. It doesn’t change on the day.
- If we repair your original: that’s all you pay. We swap it back at your next scheduled visit, or leave the repaired unit with you as your spare.
- If your original can’t be repaired: you keep the loaner as your permanent part and pay the fixed replacement price for it. That price is on the list we send with your quote — you know it before we set off, never after.
- There are no other charges. No hourly rate on the swap, no hidden parts mark-up, no surprise line items.
4. Warranty
Every part we exchange carries the same warranty that HAAS Automation, Inc. provides on the equivalent new component at the time of your job — parts and labour, from the day we fit it. We confirm the period in writing with your quote. If a part we supplied fails within that period through a defect in the part, we attend and replace it at our cost.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by another failed component, coolant ingress, incorrect supply voltage, mishandling, accident, misuse, or work carried out on the part by others. Where another failure destroys the part we supplied, we’ll say so plainly and quote for the fix.
5. Your original unit
While your original is with us it remains your property. We diagnose it at the bench without time pressure and tell you honestly whether it is economically repairable. If it is, we repair it. If it isn’t, we return it to you or dispose of it on your instruction — your choice.
6. The loaner
Until you either take it as your permanent part (section 3) or we swap your repaired original back, the loaner remains the property of Squidex Solutions Ltd. You agree to keep it in the machine it was fitted to, and to let us know if the machine is sold or moved. Normal wear in production is expected and is not charged.
7. What we need from you
- The alarm on the screen, and the machine model and serial number, on the first call.
- Safe access to the machine and its electrical cabinet, and a competent person on site.
- A working, in-tolerance mains supply to the machine.
8. Independence
Squidex Solutions Ltd is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Haas Automation, Inc. or any Haas Factory Outlet. HAAS® is a registered trademark of Haas Automation, Inc. Refurbished parts are supplied as such, tested, and warranted as set out above.
